A busy year in 2009
02-Jan-2010 The second semester of 2009 was extremely busy with several flights to New Zealand (nine in all in 2009!) and a few to Fremantle and Perth and other parts of Australia.
ITC Publications was involved in an exciting Train the Trainer program with 44 teachers from 22 schools in the Peel-Fremantle District with three visits totalling 7 days during the year.
My great news was that I had a knee replacement operation and I am now out of pain, walking fairly well and really enjoying my travels and teaching. For Terri and I, the greatest news was the gift of our second grandchild, benjamin Powell, born on 18 December 2009!
The big project in the second half of 2009 was completing the www.teacherpd.com.au project. We expected this to be ready by January 2009 but it was not to be. This revolutionary teacher resource will change the way teachers become familiar with the use of the thinking skills used in all of our products and workshops. As it came on-line towards the end of the year, we did not promote it as teachers were too busy with end-of-year arrangements. Preparations were being made to launch this in early 2010.
Have a great holiday for the end of 2009. Many thanks to all the schools and teachers who have been involved with Rodin Education and ITC Publications.
